Description

Provides financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data, and preparing reports. Handles day to day bookkeeping. Oversees all financial transactions, from payments and expenses to bank deposits and budgets.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Manages financial transactions and financial planning for the Wabanaki Wellness Center
  • Manage billing to insurances (both public and private sources)
  • Manages disbursement and receipting of all funds for assigned programs
  • Assists in formulating and administering approved general accounting practices
  • Assists in comprehensive budget preparations and cost data for the recovery center
  • Assists in the directing of the recovery systems financial forecasting, planning, and budget processes
  • Develops and maintains financial and business policies, controls, and reporting procedures
  • Ensures that fiscal and business activities comply with Federal and State requirements
  • Manages the reporting of financial information from all programs
    • Monitor State and Federal policies, regulations, and legislation affecting supplemental funding streams.
    • Develop and maintain standard cost and revenue analyses utilizing cost report and other data sources
    • Analyze impacts of various reimbursement models, working with the Rate Analysis Unit
    • Analyze impacts of various operational proposals
    • Assist in special projects as needed
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, business administration, economics, commerce, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred
  • Four (4) years of satisfactory, full-time experience with medical billing, expense reimbursement, and/or accounting
  • At least two (2) years of medical billing experience strongly preferred
  • Experience working with Tribal populations preferred
  • Experience with accounts payable procedures
  • Knowledge of automated accounts payable systems
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent math and organizational skills
  • Strong communications and interpersonal skills
  • Professional, courteous, and positive manner
  • Ability to set priorities and manage multiple task functions simultaneously
  • Other duties as assigned
